Not ideal, but think it might be the best option with what we have.

I don't think he has the physicality to withstand the inevitable "knees into the small of his back", or "head clashes" he would suffer.

Our midfield don't have the footballing know how, to get the ball to him regularly to him on the deck. They would STILL put it in the mix and expect him to win headers against hairy arsed 6ft 4" defenders.

I disagree, there was one moment last night where Ndiaye received the ball in an awkward position on the edge of his own box with no-one else around him and three Leeds players all surrounding him. If he'd let it go they would have been straight in on goal but he held them all off until he could draw the foul and the danger was averted. He can hold himself up against defenders, but probably not with his back to goal like a number 9.

We now have three midfielders who can all pick a pass (Grealish, KDH and Alcaraz) so they will be able to find him.

We just need to get him up at the end of the pitch where he can make a difference and those midfielders in behind him where they can support.

That was the highlight of the game for me and just about the only thing I really recall Ndiaye doing.

Thought it was a real 2/10 performance from Beto but he has shown to not be that bad all the time so should get another couple of starts but can't see how anyone can defend what he did (didn't do) last night

The only slight defence for him is that the midfield seemed miles away from him at all times. For him to be effective we need to having him running off their defenders. We got nowhere near playing to his strengths last night as the aim was a 0-0 draw. Ndiaye was just as ineffective attacking wise. I can’t see how we would have done better last night given the set up.

Moyes had Bowen playing there for West Ham. Could be used in a similar way.
