We were crap. They tried their hearts out and won with a dodgy pen. And were equally as bad as us. That was them at their best. We need new heads and a bit of shape but we're miles better than shite like them.

I only saw the first half, but how come everyone is so sure that this is Leeds at their best and Everton at their worst? It could be both at their best or indeed Leeds could be at their worst last night.

I hate Leeds and want them to sink without a trace obviously but from a (sort of) neutral point of view I could see what their plan was but had no idea what Everton’s was. Again, didn’t see second half so this could all be explained if I watched that.

My point is it’s one game in and it’s too soon to make pronouncements on what a team’s capabilities for an entire season are.

The fact they absolutely dominated the first half and still only had an XG of 0.4 says a lot about them. They were never ever scoring without that penalty. We turned up to keep the score down that was our plan.

It's so repetitive, we get our hopes up only to realise it's the same rubbish, year after year. Everton gave me the best memories, most supporters have seen only relegation battles. It's been going on for over a generation now. I understand it's the first game of the season, it just feels like ground hog day.

Couldn't agree more mate. I've been saying for ages, I just want entertainment not a boring style to secure a point. Were unlikely to win anything so just give us something worth watching.

We have got exciting players too but Moyes will always hold them back for a safety first approach. He doesn't have that in him to seize the game. With ½ hour left last night they were goosed but tried to win it. He sat on his hands happy to watch it out for a 0-0. That was there for the taking last night and any other team would've went to win it. We know he will never do that.

It's the rank predictabliliy of it that's the killer..... people were being told to chill out a month ago when they had the temerity to suggest we would start the season short in key positions..... everyone knew how Leeds would approach tonights game, I'm sure the manager and players knew, yet they were a sucker for it for at least 45 minutes.

I think we are better but they were clearly the better side tonight and wow that first half was so bad it was almost cringeworthy you’d think we were playing Real Madrid…it’s jarring that as one of the inform teams to end last season we happily rock up to a promoted side like the B-side and play like that. The commentary even bemoaned Leeds lack of cutting edge as if we were the minnows, we were barely a footnote. It’s just embarrassing and genuinely boring.
