Some years ago now, Tiger McLaughlin was our left back and headed a Peter Lorimer blockbuster off the line

We lost three two despite having been one nil ahead and Alan Ball making it two two with fifteen mintes to go

First at Elland road was the semi replay v west ham. V Leeds was the fa cup in 85, sharp and sheedy

1977, the day after the infamous 6-2 home defeat by the Mancs on the special from lime street. Lost 3-1, late goal by Martin Dobson, and there was murder all the way back to Leeds station as their yobs hung back and infiltrated pockets of Blues heading back there. People were going down like ninepins.

Innocent 17 year old me complained to a police officer for turning a blind eye. ‘You shouldn’t have bothered coming then should you,’ he said. Hated Leeds ever since and lost my respect for the police too

August 1970. We were champions, Leeds had been the previous season. Lost 2-3. First real experience of proper away shenanigans. On a coach which stopped by a shop
Somewhere. Bus emptied and everyone but me and my mate robbed the shop clean. Lots of trouble in the coach park before and after.

A drab 0-0. Jim Pearson, playing for injured Latchford managed to hit the post twice, when it looked easier to score. Then he got booked for fighting with Trevor Cherry, who laughed at him for missing the second chance that struck the woodwork. Virtually every Leeds player tried to boot Duncan McKenzie at every given occasion.

1977. Pissing down rain, Leeds fans horrible. Sticks in my mind, that awful game when I was 14.

Leeds 2-2 Swindon Sep 2003

League cup, let a 2-0 lead slip (injury time equaliser from GOALKEEPER Paul Robinson to cap it off), lost on penalties. Coach home was at half capacity with the number of people who got nicked for invading the pitch when we went 2-0 up.

Not Leeds away exactly but the 1968 FA Cup semi-final. Alan Ball was out probably suspended. It was at Old Trafford and we were not optimistic but Johnny Morrissey had one of his best games intimidating the Leeds bruisers and scoring the penalty to win 1-0.

I remember my Dad picking me up from school and telling me we were gong the match, my first ever game away from Goodison.

My first Leeds away trip, going from Sheffield University. Absolutely battered them, but my memory has Beardsley, breaking from midfield, missing all the sitters rather than Cottee. I might be wrong!

I was there for that game, also in first year at Leeds Uni.

As we walked out of the ground back towards the city some lad in an Everton top attached himself to us when he heard our accents. We weren't delighted at this but what can you do?

Fears realised when a car drives past and starts launching bricks at us. Horrible club.

They drew* and my old man lost his brand new phone with a fancy colour screen.

*I thought they lost, just looked it up and it was a draw.

Some game in the mid 90s. We absolutely battered them in the first half but didn't score. Inevitably they got one in the second half and that was that. Sat in the home end as well for that one as I knew some lad who was a massive Leeds fan.

Some time in the 90s, don't remember the score but we definitely lost. Just remember the coach dropping us off the other side of that tunnel and the fear throughout the game of knowing we were going to have to go back through it to get to the bus.

Arl feller me there for a Friday night cup game. Think it was the 85 season. Won 2-0.
Only other time was, I think, the first game of the season when Gaza had joined us. Got beat 2-0, I think.

Does the Spurs semi final count?

September 81. 1-1 Alan Biley in the 13th minute.
Don't remember much else apart from getting growled at on the way out as we were heading back to the car.
Oh and the journey home in the back of a Hilman Hunter with ELO's Hold On Tight seemingly playing on loop!

1980. On the back of 6 consecutive league wins, Gordon’s army travelled to Leeds and came away with nothing, save for a broken window on our coach. Lost 1-0
