My bitch is on heat

We messed up the dates to get her spayed and she's currently in 'season' it can last for 2-4 weeks.

First week was ok but I took her out on the lead this morning and it's at its peak.
I like to think I'm clued up and I know there's a period when she'll bolt to the nearest male dog, and lift her tail saying, c'mon boys have a bit of this. I mistakenly thought we'd not reached it.

Threw the ball a couple of times with no problem, her recall is really good so no probs until...
She bombs it across the field to a Labrador who's thinking I'm fuckin in here, I'm trailing by Miles shouting to the fella get your dog on the lead mate! Which made him think I had an aggressive dog and he's in a panic.

Finally I caught up, apologised for him getting the wrong impression put her on the lead and went home.
That's it! Round the estate on for the next week and I'm booking her in for November.

Aye November about right-ish - aim is to be about midpoint between seasons to make for an easier surgery.

If she does get ‘caught’ it’s quite easy to sort - usually two injections on consecutive days after she’s come out of season. Prob cost 150-200 quid but better than the alternative etc

Ours is just coming to the end of her first one.

Thankfully Mrs Mul did some reading so I knew not to let her off the lead. She’s been an absolute sex pest(the dog, not Mrs Mul) - trying to dry hump everyone in the house with her big bulging vagina. I never knew a dog could look disgusted and furious until this fucker was staring my in the eye while trying to hump my elbow when I’m stuck on a work teams call.

Spoke to the vet beforehand and they said the guidance is to wait till the dog is at least 1yo before considering spaying.

So you took your dog who’s on heat to a park and let her off the lead???

I can’t imagine any potential problems arising from this Tom…..

Hahaha, honestly boom she's not been too bad this week but I got it completely wrong today, should have known better really, when the tail goes vertically up she's anyone's the floosey.

Pair of tarts when they’re in season- been know to take it out in on each other, which is quite the sight….

Just when you think you’ve got them sorted they do something unexpected, keep you on your toes!!
