Nice EFC story

My mate is mates with the Harvey family and took Colin's wife down to see the holy trinity statue today (she had never seen it) - he sent me some lovely pics.

Apparently Colin got a tour of the new ground yesterday and absolutely loved it.

I read recently that they were going to leave the Dixie Dean and Holy Trinity statues at Goodison Park as that's where they made history, but surely they should be moved to BMD as they are part of our history and heritage rather than be left to rot in L4?

Everton had to commit to not abandoning L4 to get planning for BMD. That led initially to the Goodison Legacy project, now to Everton Women taking over Goodison. Everton in the Community are staying in L4.

In short, there will be an Everton presence there for a long time, so I do think the statues should stay where they are, in the community which has been the home of the club for most of its life.

Disagree. Loads of people have bricks around the Dixie statue who are no longer with us, so had no association with BMD. Their memories and Evertonianism is completely wrapped up at Goodison. The bricks and statues should stay as part of the legacy and history of the site.

My late Dad got a brick off us. Deserves one for all the years he took me and our kid home and away to see the mighty's.

I think they should be moved also but don't think that will happen, at least not immediately
