Just booked a long weekend away up there for end Sept.

Never been, hit me up with places to see, things to do, places to eat and drink please.

Food:
Down the Hatch Diner - burgers and wings etc
Dulse - Really good seafood
Civerinos - Good pizzas
The Wu - Asian/Pacific Steak place. Unlimited steak and chips. can pay extra for Lobster and Sushi
Tapas at the Shore - Similar to Cafe Andaluz, 50% off food on Thursdays

Drink:
The Bow Bar - Just off the Grassmarket. Decent ales and an outstanding whisky selection
Teuchter's Landing - A bit Rugby crowd-ish at times, but really nice to sit out next to the water on a sunny day
The Cambridge - Slightly gentrified now, but still a fairly old school drinkers pub
Thistle Street Bar - Similar to above, but maybe slightly more touristy
Oxford Bar - The best of the three of these. Used to see Ian Rankin in here all the time
Panda and Sons - Brilliant cocktails

Hanging Bat for ale/bar food
Brauhaus for ale
Scran & Scallie for both (not cheap)

Got it all together and I'm ready to seethe.

It’s an ace city mate..

Grassmarket is sound for few slurps. The White Hart and the Last Drop etc…

My fav bar is The Thistle Street Bar off at Andrew’s square and there’s another ace one called the Bon Vivant further down.

The ivy on the square is really nice for a lunch and cafe andaluz is superb tapas…

Lance is your man here, but he sounds like he hates it at the moment so good luck!!

There’s two cafe andaluz including one on George st which is our preferred one tbh…

We’re going in January. Absolutely love that city tbh….

Went a while ago but a place called Veeno was great if you like the errr vino

I love that place but I couldnt remember the name. The whisky selection in phenomenal. Love to work my wat through them.
