Everton approached them, not vice versa. They have a valuation on their players and good on them for sticking to it. They're not messing anyone around.

Fück me this place had Mason Holgate valued at £100m a few years ago, just behind Jack Rodwell at about £3 billion, and i guarantee you young Dibling will have a better career than either of those two clowns.

The reality is that it’s a possibility that Dibling won’t have a better career than them two, that’s why the money is a big risk.

You’d like to think he would but he is so young and has played so little that it is impossible to know. Again, herein lies the risk.

the problem, I think, is that they cant have it both ways.

he's not a £50mill player yet, you are paying a premium for potential, he may be brilliant.
But that's what the sell on clause is for, if you have the sell on clause and he turns into what they think he might be then you get your money then, and rightly so.
What I think is a bit OTT is wanting both, pay a premium for potential now and then pay us again if/when he reaches it.

I don't necessarily blame them for trying to get as much and as good a deal as possible, that's their job and Id want us to do the same, but I also think its wise to tell them to feck off of they want both.

I live in Southampton and make you spot on. There are some great Saints fans that I know but they do have some of the most delusional fans going, and also plenty of bad hanks who are proper into their bantz. Every time I go to Saint Mary’s I cringe at their supporters.
