Appreciate it's a squad game but what will the first choice currently be?

Grealish KDH Ndiaye

Gueye Garner

Or KDH next to Gueye (possibly leaving us a bit exposed/not getting the best out of KDH). Think we will sign another centre mid.

he’s a squad player who can fill in at a few different positions. moyes clearly doesn’t trust him to play deeper yet but he’ll start plenty of games across the attacking midfield positions

For me it would be Ndiaye on the left & alcaraz on the right (if we bring a RW in then him instead) & then Grealish given free rein to roam behind the striker, KDH & gana as the 2 midfielders behind those 3, gana protecting the back 4 & KDH as box to box mf

Unfortunately Gana has never been a player you could trust to sit and protect the bsck four alone. He doesn't have the discipline to do that.

He's far better suited to being further forward putting out fires all over the pitch with another player behind him screening.

We either bring in a true DM, or we are better packing the midfield with three players who can all be trusted to do their share of defending.

Saturday exposed just how desperate we are for a right winger.

A massive gaping hole for the entire match.

Well I say the entire match, I was playing Royal Match for the last half hour so can't say for sure.

To be fair both Grealish and Ndiaye work incredibly hard as well as being talented. Yeah think we will get a right mid, cm and rb.

Is he ready to start the Leeds game ? Hope so.
Think it will be Grealish left, KDH central, and NDiaye right, with Gana/Garner behind as you suggest.

Out of all the options, this sounds the most sensible which I can see Moyes going with, at least to begin with.

Ndiaye would be effective in the centre or left.

With all our options none of them perfectly solve the right hand side. But I like Alcaraz, he can do a job out there, as could McNeil (remember him?), as could Ndiaye and Grealish.
