Hypothetical football related question

You are a player of Dibling's current potential/hype and age. You are currently playing for Southampton in the Championship. Everton haven't enquired about you. The RS put a bid in for you which Southampton accept but are happy for you to stay. The RS contingent inform you Salah is moving on after this season and they see you as potentially filling his position once he moves on. They offer you double your current wage, let's say £80k p/w.

As a staunch Evertonian, do you agree to move?

no I wouldn't, because if Liverpool are prepared to pay big bucks for me then I would imagine there are 10-15 other clubs that also would that are in the prem league.

And id have my agent on the phone to Everton within 5 mins, if they didn't want me there are plenty of other clubs I'd be fine with playing for. Not that lot though.

Not sure how much of a discount id give Everton though, probably some but not shedloads, its a short carer and you need to reap in what you can when you can. Its not like they are not paying others a lot more is it.
If there highest earner capped out at said 80k then maybe, but they dont do they they pay lots of other players more than that.

Yes, and I inexplicably lose form as soon as I reach the RS first team, in fact, I even somehow manage to score three own goals in a derby match before being hauled off to a chorus of boos. I then get a transfer to another club and my form mysteriously improves dramatically.

Succeeding Salah will be a poisoned chalice. The RS would hate you for not being as good.

Not all. I know it's hypothetical but reality is it won't be RS or fook all (or stay at Soton forever).

In fact I'd let my alternative option play out and then specifically say I rejected them and why.
Might not even wait in fact

I'd have loved to have been in this position in my youth and able to public say "I wouldn't play for that shower of gobshytes if they were the last club on earth. I'm contracted to play here for now and happy to give them my all, Everton is my dream move and if they want me they can have me for way less than anyone else will have to pay me.....but once again LFC don't bother with an offer because you can suck my plums if I'd ever play infront of your horde of grotesque hangers on and weirdos"......but I probably wouldn't.
