Just looked and been charged £17.05 on top of the correct £5.95 I should have been charged.

Nice one. That's going to be murder trying to get that back.

You tap your card and 'pay' £20 towalk into the shop. You then pick up what you want and walk out without going the till. Ive just checked my account and it did work but no idea how it works other than it's from videocameras

Normally with a pending transaction it’ll drop off after a couple of days but it’s still funds in your account you can’t use…

I get what everyone is saying about the money coming back, like when you buy fuel, but I've been charged for something I didn't buy. Whatever, I'll sort it out.

As for the security... I suppose it's what we've got to deal with now.

It felt more like going to an event rather than an Everton match.

Similar here - went in twice: once for a bottle of water and once for two pints. Been charged £20, £20 and £15.90.

All showing as pending currently but will be interesting to see how it gets sorted. (Hopefully sorts its of)

It gets credited back eventually.
It's a bit annoying the delay though.
I was in early so went in and bought a pie. £20 charged. Then went back for a pint another £20. Then half time and 2nd half 2 more £20. So you need a decent balance of say £100 to be able to spend less than £30

I get that and don't have a problem with it (as such).

But I've had the £20 back on the £5.95 but I don't know where the £17.05 has come from. I didn't buy anything for £17.05!

It's just a flat £20 charge for everyone swiping in. Similar to the £100 petrol charge if you pay at the pump.

Again, true. But I've still been charged for something I didn't buy. The pint I did buy went through ok. £20 then reduced.

I didn't buy anything for £17

Yeah TBF I don't have an itemised bill of what I spent today so that would be an improvement. Some charges seem to have been merged together despite being taken at different times and I had one £20 charge refunded.
