O'Brien does a decent enough fill in job but with nothing ahead of him we look blunt down that side.

We've got 2 of those, we don't have a fully functioning right back or anything that resembles a right midfielder.

The strikers today looked absolutely toothless. Can't see Beto, Chermiti and Barry terrifying many defences this coming season.

I hope I'm wrong.

Think the invisible lane down the right compounds all of what you've written there though, can't rely solely on N'Diaye to do everything.

Dont know if it was just me, but I thought N'Diaye looked subdued today, as if he was carrying a knock, or Moyes had urged him not to get tight in case he took a whack?

He was defo not himself.

He has been playing for Villareal, been around quite a lot for his young age and we paid a decent amount for him.

Obviously it takes a bit of time to get used to a new team but he is ready now (or should be) his age shouldn't be an issue.

Like every other striker we have had for decades now he looks isolated. It should hopefully be OK once the season starts.

Not sure we can afford one in the current market.

That Sesko cost £80m and he scored 13 goals last season.

I'm not expecting us to pay that much but we don't even appear to be looking for a striker.

If they think Beto and Barry will see us right they're in for a shock.

Correct.

The frustrating thing is we’ve needed players for these positions for what seems like years.

I’m hopeful we’ll bring some more players in (I may be naive but time will tell).
