in court today after being formally charged with 5 charges of rape and 1 of sexual assault.

Granted unconditional bail until his trial.

I thought one of the rumours was that he was 'injured' and didn't travel whenever Arsenal played in Spain. Signing for Villareal would seem to suggest otherwise.

I thought the belief was he couldn't leave the country on bail but might well be wrong.

Do we think if he was let’s say as good as somebody like Rob Holding they would have?

Or did they think we just have to try and win this title by any means possible and he is needed?

They chose not to charge him until his contract was up didn't they?

Unlike Everton who suspended the player as soon as the allegations were made (subsequently no charges made)

We did the right thing both by the alleged victim in not playing him and by the player in continuing to pay his wages whilst not charged with a crime.

Not that we got feck all consideration in this when the PSR calculations were made.
