Forwarding season tickets

I bought x3 but one childs one was for someone else's lad. He got an email address and I forwarded it and it's now downloaded to his Google Wallet.

Just as an aside. Probably miles but not been on for a few days.

I logged in as my ST holder mate last month and bought 2 Roma tickets. (Obviously he could have just bought them for me but its just easier this way)

He got them emailed to him on Thursday.
Forwarded the email to me.
Now in my Google wallet.

No hassle whatsoever.

I meant no hassle as oppose to asking someone to do it for me, pay for it, me have to transfer money to him blah blah blah.

I paid with my card. Mate isn't going to the match so I'm having his ticket.

Doesn't get much more straightforward really.

We could always go back to the days of taking time off work to go and queue for a few hours outside the ticket office.

Much prefer to do that me ; if they offered a paper copy on a match by match basis that you have to go and pick up I’d be all over that ;

Let’s be honest they are merely building a dynamic database that they can sell again and again and again

They are also ensuring they can build a case for someone like me to be eased out

I'm with you to an extent Drex.

Ive always paid the tenner or whatever it was for a physical card and just pass that on and I was gutted over this wallet business. I never even had Google wallet.

But it has been dead easy.

I don't think it's just everton doing this. I would imagine all clubs do it.

All gigs do it.

All sporting events do it.

All airlines do it.

People (including me) just don't like change

I think every PL club has to have fully digitalised ticketing in place by start of season 26/27.

Hasn't he basically just jumped the general sale queue by buying his mates' season ticket seat to ensure he gets one ?

Which wouldn't be any different if he done it in 1960, 1990 or today.

Only this time he just had to log in under his mates log in as opposed to going to his mates to actually get his season ticket and then taking it to the ground and queuing up to get it that way.

I love your stance Brace I really do but occasionally it's not warranted mate haha.

Your season ticket will get cancelled if you let someone borrow your phone , reading the rules .

I've got mine and my mate's tickets in my wallet and vice versa.

So if I can't go he can just scan anyone in using my ticket from his wallet and if he can't go I can scan anyone in using his ticket from my wallet.

Been a lot of scaremongering over all this but it appears there's nothing to worry about really.

Similarly I bought my roma ticket but my mate's lad is using it and he's not a member.

I just forwarded my email to my mate and he downloaded the ticket to his phone.

Easy peasy.

I'm sure last year they brought in something that either meant you couldn't download your season ticket to more than one phone or if you did it wouldn't work? I say this as I ended up deleting mine off my phone a couple of times and having to send my season ticket email to a couple of mates so they could download it, unless I got the wrong idea in my head and made a right horlicks of it?

Just been messing around with mine and me mates tickets and I think that android phones/Google wallet let's you have the same ticket on multiple devices at the same time but Apple wallet doesn't, that detects it's already on another device and won't let it be added until the first one is removed. Not the most scientific approach like so could be well wrong!

Cheers for that, they definitely said something last season about not being able to share on phones which is why I did what I did as prior to that I just let my mates download it to their phones, at one point I had mine, my brother's and my nephews season tickets all in my wallet as we sit together and used to share if we couldn't make it to the match.

Sounds easy enough but my reading of it is that is misuse in the rules ; the club has to be involved in the transfer

Correct.

As long as you have the season ticket on one phone only at any point in time you’ll be fine.

It might only be if you have the other one's as part of your friends/family group thing but I've defo got 2 in my wallet.

Try it and let me know it's worked mate or I'll be getting paranoid.

My mate just messaged me yesterday and said he'd put my ticket in his wallet (after I had put it in mine) and to put his in mine as well.

I was convinced when I checked my wallet that it will have disappeared out of mine coz of this 1 device only stuff but it hadn't so I went on the email with the 2 activations on and clicked on his and downloaded it to mine so now we've both got both tickets on our phones*.

*awaits efc security to dawn raid the house and nick us.

Well we've yet to test it but me and my mate have both got each others season tickets in our wallets now so they are on 2 devices.

But as I said that might be because we have each other as linked or friends and family or whatever.

You might not be able to put your season ticket on a second wallet/device if that person isn't part of your friends/family group.

I didn't even know about the friend/family thing until he sent me a request to link up with him that I just clicked on and it connected us.

If you're a season ticket holder you'll automatically be able to get your own seat for any cup game mate yeah.

Not sure if you'd be able to get additional tickets on top of your own seat though.
