It was our fcuk up that meant we ended up hawking him about, so this is not news.

However the last bit is revealing. He was never the same last season, and I always felt that he wished he'd gone. He played that way.

Was he getting hawked around for PSR?

We were slagged off for forcing him out after he downed tools. He had to go or we would have been another 6 points adrift.

You're right though about his 'sympathy' for Izak.

Yes. It was a complete fcuk up by the club. Think we thought Bruno's £100m clause would be activated as we approached 30th June year end, but when it wasnt, we had a day to find £60m. The club enquired with Liverpool about Gordon, but instead of getting rid of Gordon we sold Anderson for a pittance and Minteh. We should've just claimed the overspend was covid related.

That turned Gordon's head and he has never been the same since. I would've preferred we got rid of him to losing Anderson and spunking £20m on a 3rd string Greek keeper.
