Some fresh picobella tomatoes picked off the vine, sautéed with olive oil and garlic until reduced right down. Throw in some capers. Toast some pine nuts and throw in at the end. Cook up some spaghetti, toss together, season and enjoy.

Simple Italian cooking at its finest.

It's literally a roast in pie format with chicken, sausage, stuffing, green beans, carrot & turnip and thick gravy, topped with creamy mash.

My homemade pizzas. Make my own dough, let it rest for a couple of hours, then just have whatever I like on it. Made a lovely chorizo, pepperoni, onion and mushroom pizza the other night. Kids just had plain pepperoni. Much better than the shite you get from a takeaway.

Pork rib chops in orange sauce with baked spud. Done in the oven there are some nice chewy bits to gnaw at.

We had a lad on site with us years ago, probably dead now, who had a tin of sardines every day. He'd crack them open drink the juice right from the can. I nearly upchucked the first time I saw it.

I had some sardines in sunflower oil on toast the other day. Very nice, and I was happy to eat the fish and the oil, but there's just something not right about drinking the oil, and drinking it out of a tin at that.

Spicy pork/beef mince stuffed marrow (courgette substitute as can't find marrow anywhere recently)
Local lamb neck fillet Scouse done in the ninja pressure cooker. Melts in the mouth. Dumplings added on air fry setting at the end.
Chicken thigh saag curry.

Favourite in the caravan is double Gloucester cheese on toast Worcester sauce and a good bottle of red.

Ms celedon stuffs marrow, or rather marrow size courgettes from our garden. She pours season pudding mix over the top which gives a sensational finish to it. She is from yorkshire and season pudding is traditional in her family with a lamb sunday dinner.

I make all the food in our house from scratch. I'm a pretty good chef I reckon.

But it's often what the rest of them want. If it was something just for me, a special treat that I basically never have, it would be a perfect fry up, made of gear from the farm shop down the road.

There's numerous places on and around Lodge Lane that sell it but my last purchase was from a little African Food shop open in St Helens

Not sure of the name of the road but its located on the 10A bus route by traffic lights near the TA barracks

Seems a bit pricey

I think I paid £9.99 for a kilo at the aforementioned shop out in St Helen’s but this was frozen and not diced

Cook some pasta and set aside. Fry some chorizo in olive oil, add honey, mustard and a bit of cream. Add pasta, mix well and scoff.

I like to call it Pasta with chorizo, honey, mustard and a bit of cream.

Probably a roast. Any meat but preferably lamb, done pink. LOADS of roasties and a thick gravy.

My daughter's boyfriend said the other week (to her not me) that my roast was the best he'd ever had. He's only 17 like so maybe he hasn't had many!
