Haha, we're at a delicate stage of negotiations (trying to get on the bill for the festival he does each year in Brighton) so may hold those back until the ink's dry lid!

I've joined a band called Blueboy who were on Sarah Records in the 90s. They reformed last year and brought me in as a second guitarist for live stuff at the beginning of the year. New album out in the autumn - much bigger sound now than the Sundays-ish vibe of their early stuff, hence need for an extra tit to make a racket with his effects pedals.

I've got my live debut next month at the Paris Pop Fest then dates at the 100 Club and The Exchange in Bristol sorted for Feb. All good fun so far

Nice one. I was only vaguely aware of them in the 90s but they've done some good stuff. The new material is well worth a spin

Alright Sean, ask him how he can justice £150 for this new best of album that has 1 new song on it.

In all seriousness ask him if he would ever get the original line up back together as there's plenty of scope for it now as he's worked with them in the past and the Wedding Present line up is constantly changing.

Yeah good one. Would love to see the drummer they had from Bizarro through the early 90s back - he was incredible.

Mountford Hall late 90 was superb too. Think they opened with Dalliance, which hadn't been released yet. Remember thinking f*ckin hell, we're in new territory here

Yes, that was manic too. It didn't even matter that you'd not heard the songs they were just amazing at the time. I remember Dalliance and everybody just knew it was going to go loud and squeal with feedback any minute. The atmosphere was tremendous.
