my five expectations for the new season

1) A typical Moyesiah slow start, including losing to leeds on the first day.
2) A heavy derby away loss
3) People moaning about how long it takes to get out of BMD
4) at least one of our better players getting an injury at a crucial time, either in a game or during the season.
5)finishing somewhere midtable ideally anywhere in teh tophalf but 11th or 12th not a disaster

i think thata reasonable forecast. top half ish finish will do me next season, all of the other things are peak everton.

1. Comfortable mid table finish
2. Barry to be be the latest in "lazy" Everton strikers who can't trap a bag of cement chat
3. Armstrong to become a very good player
4. Novelty of BMD to wear off as the November night matches kick in.
5. Min 4 new players in before the window slams shut

I have tried to stay optimistic, trying to convince myself that everything will be fine come the start of the season, that everything will eventually fall into place and we will hit the ground running and go onto have a good season for a change.
The closer we get to it though the more pessimistic I find myself becoming. At the moment, unless things change dramatically, the following is my list of 5:

1. We will lose every game until after the first international break.
2. We won't win at the new ground until November, probably scraping a scrappy 1 nil win against a league 2 no mark team in the league cup.
3. Another long hard slog of a season, wishing it was already over by December.
4. Knocked out in the third round of the FA cup at home against Norwich.
5. A 5 nil home defeat in the derby.

1 the football will be shit (not Dyche shit but still….)
2 Brighton will be the first team to win there. Not Everton
3 it’ll be a good for bevvying but shit getting away at the end
4 it’ll still take ages to get a pint at half time
5 it’ll be fucking freezing for most games. The first test event is the coldest I’ve been at a UK football game

At the 25k test event 2 it was piss easy to get a pint at half time so can't imagine it will be too difficult other than the unavoidable crush to get to the concourse itself.

But they were selling bottles of ale which still needed to be opened, poured etc. Not beyond the wit of man to have a procession of pints ready at half time. Bar areas were large and well staffed. Pre match won't be an issue.

1) Calls for Moyes head well before Christmas leading to 100+ "avoidance noted" type threads on here.

2) Echo stories and compo faces of fans getting home from the match an hour later than usual.

3) Alcaraz becoming a boo boy.

4) Visiting teams playing absolute blinders against us making home points very difficult to come by.

5) Sleepless nights until late March when a bizarre run of form sees us safe.
