Anyone stayed here before? Just noticed our Christmas doo is there and its looks bang on ..

I was in there over Christmas last year. Great room, it wasn't that busy but took ages to get served and the (very nice) staff were all having to google various cocktails they were being asked for.

Good initiative I suppose but the prices you're paying are for a 5 star, top level bar.

Not stayed there but (massive mingebag alert) £5.00 sterling for a small mixer size bottle of lemonade PLUS a service charge of 12.5% for going to the bar, ordering, paying (with an 'and your own' - don't think they took anything) and carrying the drinks back to my own table.

Gah, fewwwwwming again.

Did see Andy McCluskey in there though, which was nice.

It was lovely in there like, and it was a couple of drinks for Mother in Laws birthday after being stung for £55.00 sterling for a bottle of Primitivo in The Ivy, so all relative!!!

Bugger...Just realised how much of a mingebag I am...*goes back to drying out my teabags.

Had a couple of meals in the main restaurant and used the swimming pool / sauna etc. Everything was ace if pricey.

Yeah stayed there for my wedding. Really good with the caveat the breakfast was a bit meh - especially the tea*. But rooms/bar/staff all boss.

*one pot , with 1 DECAF tea bag, for 6 heads?!
