always thought he was left-footed as he seems to usually be seen on the left for City & England, but he is right-footed; him on the right & Ndiaye on the left cd be a potent force- plus him signing might send out a good signal to others - thasall from this tactical ignoramus

That's why he's a shite left winger, he's been sussed, defenders know he will always check back onto his right foot, and invariably then fall over when challenged. Got to be more out there..somewhere

But isn't that the point of him there, that he can cut inside? Ndiaye is the same.
Just so happens that Citeh have a left back that will also go outside, not like ours.

Neither are players that are going to go outside and attack the byeline

Your right, but the difference is Ndiaye can do it. Grealish could early Villa days but ends up on his ass with his arms in the air 9/10 times now...or easy passes back and slows things down. I guess I'm not keen on him so not best placed to judge.

You’re not wrong but I don’t think it’s his natural game to do that, it’s just that if he doesn’t old Pep has one of his head rubbing meltdowns on the sideline. He’s probably also been told so what I say not what you want which has taken a bit of life out of him. The Grealish in his last season at Villa was out of this world, no reason why that player can’t still be in there, structured but with more freedom than at city in the attacking third (if and when we get there…)
