Just read the article - up for sale at £40m in 2016, so moshiri true to form paid £48m instead.

I imagine we have a lease:

But eventually we'll move out. Hopefully we've installed lots of offices at HD or can reuse some of the defunct corporate at Goodison?

I used HD because when referring to Hill Dickinson in my line of work we shorten it to Hill Dicks or occasionally HD - see also Horwich Farrelly get called HF and Davies Wallis Foyster now go officially by DWF (and then there's DLA etc etc)

Have done (at the back end) still do a bit but mostly other civil work now and HD, DWF etc still do bits of that as well as PI, Clin Neg etc

I've spent 25 years doing RTA, been in a few firms, last one was Carpenters now in S & G.

Counting the days until I can afford to do a less demanding/stressful job and/or retire!

BMD is worse than HD. At least HD isn't a slave owner's initials.

BMD is the official name of the dock and it's inevitable that people will continue to call it that.

It's just a name. Using it isn't an endorsement of the person it was named after 175 years ago, or the social or political standards that existed at that time.

Haha I know what you mean. I’d still say Goodison occasionally tho for whatever reason. I can just hear Adrian Durham calling it ‘the HD’ like it’s the Amex next season and it’s making my teeth itch
