Doesn't look good. The bees need to get busy but hard when other clubs know you have loads of cash and increasingly bigger problems to fill. See Ipswich rejected £35m for Hutchison which seemed a very decent offer

One of the few interesting things about the upcoming season …is in new stadium, Frank at spurs and Andrews there

Be quite cool if it turns out Andrews has got it but it’s a bizarre appointment ; if it’s part of a planned succession and it works, fair play

Didn’t they pioneer , sort of, planning by stats? Are they still doing that?

I don't think you'll go down as long as the players stick together because you still have more quality than the promoted teams. The trouble with all this churn is team spirit and morale can be lost though.

Lots of teams could finish anywhere between about 8th and 15th next season.

I think Everton and Brentford will be in that group.

This will be the weakest squad Moyes has had for years , as we stand now ; a lot can happen between now and august 31st; if he keeps Beto fit we will at least worry defences with his disruptive style ; if Ndiaye maintains form we could plan for tenth and hope it happens

Between 8th and 15th? 12th I reckon ; tough mid season then an upturn from end January ; the Moyes blue print in other words;

who now is planning our next manager candidate? Is that kinnears job?

A shame if they plummeted. Quite like the football they played under TF. Newish ground they're still paying for.

There's a good few other clubs* I'd rather banish to the Championship before them. Plus, I'd like them to remain in the prem' for our Bee's supporting compatriot off here.

Yes I quite like their style as well. Modern but a bit more direct than the tedious diametric passing in the 6 yard box of recent times. Really liked the Mbuemo and Toney combo around 22/23. Two modern/ old fashioned forwards.

Agree they are generally more likeable than most. The promoted teams will have to be a lot better than recent seasons for them to get relegated so I think it's unlikely but they are significantly weaker right now than recent mid table finishes

Weaker on the playing side, AND managerial. Tomas Frank did a brilliant job there, on limited resources.

Remains to be seen if Keith Andrews can cut the mustard. Very difficult first gig.

The biggest lost was Tomas Frank. He steered their ship brilliantly, considering the budget he had.

Yeah its thenfact that they are all going in 1 summer thats the problem. They've brought in Kelleher and Henderson so probably deserve it just for that though. They also bought one of the RS youngster's last year. Can't remember his name but sure he was massively overpriced as usual.

Rejecting £35m for Hutchison reflects how distorted the market is - largely caused by ‘the big 6’ paying silly money for anything that moves.

I can see why we are facing challenges bringing players in.

The key is finding these players before they get to the premier league as well though isn’t it. The players Brighton and Brentford bring in usually cost a lot less. Our scouting network isn’t good enough and hasn’t been for years

Yes its the trickle down of Wirtz for 150m. Can only think Ipswich know they will have to pay an inflated price to replace him and they have a much better chance of promotion if they hold on as long as the player doesn't kick up a fuss
