Went to see last night, it was surprisingly very good, really enjoyed it.

We had the one where he went evil, beat that bloke up in the diner, straightened the leaning tower of Pisa, lobbed Clark Kent in a car crusher and smoked and stuff on VHS. By far the best iteration. Also Richard Pryor as a nerd.

I always thought that Superman was massively over powered if I'm honest. I never really enjoyed any of his iterations up to now, apart from the one where I could admire Terri Hatcher for an hour a week.

I had I and II taped off the telly when I was a kid, so it all goes back to that really.

He is obviously overpowered, but then they make his enemies the same way. Zod has all the same powers etc, or they have the kryptonite thing.

I know it's proper corny, but I always loved his boy scout style demeanor.

Re the Dean Cain stuff, used to work with a guy who looked surprisingly like him years ago, he absolutely leaned into it as well and made Hay while he could.
Went to a fancy dress party in a superman outfit as well the shameless get.

I suspect he is less pleased about it now like.

I never gave Smallville a chance really. Just assumed it was Dawson's Creek but with superpowers.

Did he get the big turtleshell glasses? I assume he had no problem getting the ladies anyway.

it basically was exactly what you say, I wasnt a massive fan, however the Lois (and Laura) lane were excellent.

I thought Lois in this version was great, really channeling Margot Kidder version (via Monica from Friends). The versions in Superman Returns and the Snyder films have missed the mark for me. Lois needs to be sassy and abrasive.
