Pre-season games

I know we're all daft fuckers like, and the close season can drag. But fuck me, they're not competitive and they have no bearing on the way we will perform once the season starts.

Can we just wait until we play games against PL opposition before we start bed wetting.

The only (justifiable) bed wetting I've seen is that the club is now charging STH and members to watch the flipping things.

Watching them has become a guilty pleasure for me over the years. But that's over now.
I know the results don't mean anything and they're supposed to be about reaching match fitness but watching us get outplayed by lower league teams really helped dampen expectations for the upcoming season.

Only two of them are against lower league opponents this summer. The rest are English or Italian top flight teams, so perhaps the club have realised the annual dance of embarrassing failure against the smaller sides isn't doing anyone any favours.

I think it's more the fact that the lower league sides want to kick lumps out of the 'PL stars'.
Stoke de-ankling Dwight McNeil being a prime example.

Accrington and Blackburn should be fun.

Still annoyed when I think about that stoke game.

Sat there watching them get away with murder because whilst the ref was officiating like a pre season game those stripey red twats were treating it like a cup final.

How can you tell if someone is a Kopite? If the hat, scarf, T shirt or tattoo isn't enough of a clue, they will have told you within two sentences. Basically, it's a cult.
