Skem Utd playing at Marine which is closer to Liverpool than Skem, whilst COLFC play at Burscough which is closer to Skem than Liverpool you couldn't make this shit up.

Anyhoos after spending the last three seasons freezing my arse off and getting piss soaked through in Burscoughs open to the elements on 3 sides ground, the lovable 'Purps' are welcome to it

I wonder if they asked Everton Ladies/the council for WHP given that it is within the city boundary and is more than big enough for them (and is now unoccupied)

I am sure that it would not be the fact that it used to be an Everton ground which would put the clearly non-partisan fans of CoL off.

No idea mate. I know the Burscough chairman stalled Skems chairman from renewing our deal till he had no choice but to accept an offer from Marine two days before the deadline.

This was back at the end of March so I'd say this deal with COL has been in the pipeline since at least then, which cams into question their plea to the FA to be allowed a last minute change.

I'm guessing but Manning and co, have been hedging their bets hoping to see who would give them the best deal. £500 a match we were paying Burscough last season so it's probably going to be the same for them which is way better than the 2k they were paying Widnes.

Surely if their plans for Edge Lane fall through they should just call it a day? The whole thing was about putting a solid non-league side into the city boundaries. How long ago was that? Ten years? If any of them just feel that Bootle, Marine, Prescot et all are just "too wool" for them, there's always Lower Breck and South Liverpool. It's just embarrassing (and hilarious, natch) now.
