I'm half way through and think he comes across as a bit of a tit. Whilst I'm sure most of us would agree he didn't make the most of his talent, he was nowhere near as talented as he thinks he was. To listen to him you'd think he was the Brazilian Ronaldo.

Sad that he was estranged from his family for a long time, mind.

TBF if his attitude on (accepting this might have dulled a touch of his edge) and off the pitch had been on the money, and given even-handed refereeing, he really could have played for and been successful at any club and any level - especially in the era he played. He really was unplayable at times and absolutely terrified any defender

I do agree he comes across as a t1t though

I've got it but it's taking ages to finish.
I just pull it out for a couple of pages toward the end of another book.

Like pretty much every footballers autobiography, it's shite and he comes across like a bit of a tit.

I listened to the audiobook in the car and the first few chapters sounds like he reads at the level of a 9 year old.
