Been out mountain biking in some filthy weather over the years.
As dirk says - it's all about the clobber.
Was out once at rivington / winter hill in similar conditions with a group of us. A new lad had summer bike shoes on - his feet were blue after a couple of hours.
Had to call into the black dog pub on Belmont Road to get a couple of carrier bags from behind the bar and made the lad put them on his feet under his socks.
