I got a Giant E-Roam for about that price. Love it.
I work about 6 miles away from home and all down hill there and up hill home. So steep that I ended up walking half of it on a normal push bike on the one time I tried.
On this, I can leave the car at home and have a nice ride in and still a decent workout on the way back. About 20 mins there, 25 back so only adds 5-10 mins on vs the car.
