Yep I've got it in my 1960's this year and got the grant of £7,500, addtional cost to me was £1,000. I've got it because I've also gone with Solar and a large battery and so I can plan how to heat the house and when day by day Can't tell you too much about the heating as I haven't used it in anger yet. I've had to get cavity insulation which I've noticed a massive difference with already purely by the house temp not dropping so significantly at night. Good insulation is an absolute must for Air heat pump. My electric for September so far has cost £10 in electric from the grid, £15 for daily standing charge and I've made £8 from selling back to grid... this is with Octopus who are brilliant.
I realise this probably doesn't help too much, I can report back in 6 months...
