Gets done by Maddison skipping away from him and slips over.
Decides, as he’s falling to the ground, to try to trip his opponent. He has zero chance of getting the ball, it’s miles away. His intent is to foul.
He doesn’t trip but his boot rakes his opponents leg. Doesn’t matter that the boots are as light as a feather these days, and that there’s no way it actually hurt Maddison (despite the clear fatal injury that he suffered) - he’s gone to foul the man when he was not in control.
