Bought an entire office load of furniture on eBay for my work at about 60 quid.
Had to drive all the way to Ipswich in a hired van to lobby it, then they need us into an empty building that had been a BT call centre.
They opened the doors and said 'that's all yours we need it fine by the end of the week'....before revealing about 20 desks, 50 chairs, 10 big tall filing cabinets and 40 pedestals.
Ended up having to hire a haulage firm to take it on a back load artic for us and had to stay in a hotel for the night to help with the loading the morning.....boss wasn't too happy with the over £1000 cost for something I'd promised him would cost less than a ton.
Still got most of that stuff in use 20 years later and it's my company now so still a bargain for me 😂
