    It's not just from one game to the next, it's cumulative over a period, and is something akin to marathon runners hitting the wall. Mile 22 they look great, mile 23 they look like they've been on the sauce all day.

    Man U were comparatively easy to play against. They didn't really press us as much as you did. This is the compound effect of the PSG match too and playing the same XI without subs in 5 consecutive games. They were out on their feet in that game too. Can't keep doing it.

    I thought we'd get through this one and Spurs next would be the wall hitter, but not to be. Unfortunately this time we don't have an international break like we did after Bournemouth. Howe definitely seems to have a blind spot when it comes to using the bench. Even 20-25 minutes here and there for a good few of the chosen first XI in prior games and we maybe last this game.

    Home advantage helps too, when you're being roared on. Think the adrenaline dips when you're away and starting to wobble towards the end. Trippier is normally spot on, and has been superb this season, but you could see the concentration and sharpness start to go.
