I had to do one in Thailand, it was hilarious. No driving involved. There were three tests and then you have to watch a snuff video of kids getting mowed down by trucks. Finally there is a skit about a middle aged man telling a woman how she was an awful driver because of all of the mistakes she made.
In the practical tests, one was to distinguish between the colours red, orange and green.
I forget the 2nd, and the final was a reaction test. You look into a box, like a fairground attraction type thing, and then there is a marker on the left, and a pole on the right. The pole moves towards you and you need to press a button to stop it when it gets there. Simple stuff.
Anyway, the 70 year old motorbike taxi driver in front of me couldn't get it. He missed it a handful of times and it was a cause of concern. So one of the staff stood next to him and when it was in the right place he tapped him on the shoulder. Motorbike taxi driver pressed the button and passed the test.
It was worthwhile just to see all of that happen. Whole day took about 6 hours most of which was waiting in a line.
