Sometimes it’s just to generate apathy towards say an election. If they get one person going can’t be arsed voting for say Labour because they are the same as the tories and multiply that on say every football related board. Cambridge analytical did this in Africa targeting through Facebook making it not cool to vote in an election as they are all the same nowadays. Only they targeted just the people who had showed a leaning towards a certain party. It worked
