Cadiz was a much more handsome city but we spent a day in Gibraltar last year.

Last October, on a beautiful day, we walked from the town to just about as far up as you can get.

Views were tremendous. If I remember correctly it was about 25000 steps up, pottering about and back. Thighs ached for a day after.

Best bit St Michaels caves - spectacular caverns, stalactites, rock formations, caves big enough to have a theatre inside!

We felt the views and St Michael's alone were worth the walk.
