Mrs H had a hip replacement in March aged 63. She was diligent with her rehab (and strengthening the muscles around the hip pre op) which speeded the recovery and was back walking ok shorter distances after 5/6 weeks and pretty much fully recovered after 3 months. It’s made a huge difference and she’s now pain free.
She went private although it did go against our principles but she was getting to the stage where she couldn’t walk any distance.
If you’re able to go down that route I’m sure you could get it done at 57.
