Hey call me a bit of a maverick but how about taking the risk of buying Betos replacement BEFORE we've sold him instead?

Yes it risks us not being able to shift the fella on and throwing us into potential FFP turmoil but isn't that just as bad as risking being in a situation where we have one shit striker for a whole four months and then probably being rinsed for one in January because we are absolutely desperate?

I'd even go as far as to say it's less risky because at least that method gets you in the players you need so you can put the points in the bag before any potential deduction comes in, rather than just not picking up the points at all.

We've got till next June to resolve any overspending issues.....far easier to do if you get a decent start to the season and don't need to spend in January and even more so if you have a good full season and can flog players who did well for more money in June if absolutely necessary.
