I hope so too. Nobody knows what has happened behind the scenes though, nobody knows what has been said not done. I think it'd be a crying shame not to see how O'Brien can develop in the CB position, which is basically Moyes most important positions on the pitch.

If he goes, someone like Forest or above will pick him up, stick him at CB and he will probably be a £40m player by the end of the season. Yeah he will make mistakes but that's what developing players do.
