This gap is just going to get bigger and bigger isn’t it?

All of them can literally buy any player they want from the other teams and most of the sell them their reserves as replacements at inflated prices and the leagues rules punish any team that try and compete and restrict them so much that their entire pre season ls are spent dealing with better players looking to leave and a mad last few weeks of looking for replacements

What am I missing? Is there any coming back from this in terms of being competitive?
