1. A positive selection results in a positive performance. Absolutely no complaints as we'll know the upshot/reasons for the glaring omission by the end of the window.

2. Yes, it's PNE, but Barry's movement inside the box tonight was excelllent and especially pleasing. Three "sniffer's" goals and we'll take him doing that in thhe Barclays all night long.

3. Great to see Johnson set one up and score and he seemed genuinely delighted. That pace has been sorely lacking in recent years.

4 Pickford showing his unreal reflexes and occasional ability to see the chance to set things up if the movement is there. Love the man.

5. Dibling given a start and chance to shine against, quite frankly, fucking shite opposition and not doing much really. Doesn't seem to extend himself at all with the ball at his feet (or he's frighteningly slow), constantly takes the safe option and generally looks miserable as sin. I know we can have two extremes who write off players immediately and those who insist they can see something positive no matter how shite the performance (Da vs Gump, if you will), but he's not showing anything, even a fluke moment to ignite hope, to suggest anything other than an embarrassingly small undisclosed fee in his future.
