Got a few to read from some great recommendations on here about a month ago - will be giving The Carhullan Army by Sarah Hall a go next.

Just about finished Seascraper by by Benjamin Wood. Set in a fictional (although I think it's loosely based on Morecambe Bay type area) mid-20th century coastal town, a shrimper who clings onto traditional methods (horse and cart etc) is randomly approached by an American film director to act as a guide for his next production which is to be set on an extremely moody beach. Not the usual type of stuff I would read but I enjoyed this a lot.
