The whole tournament is (rightly) based on a bit of national pride. Yet every tournament an Englishman is made to feel awkwardly weird about supporting England by others. Some of us can't be arsed with every fucking thing in life being politicised. So yes, weirdly, I'd like the country of my birth to win a national tournament too. The same as if it were rugby, cricket or fucking tiddlywinks.
