Case in point:
We look at the US these days as a country of constant tension and aggression (ICE agents etc.), but one story that hasn't made the headlines during this World Cup is the town of Lawrence, Kansas that the Algerian team has made their base camp. The town has basically adopted the - Algerian flags everywhere, the University of Kansas marching band learning the Algerian national anthem and playing it to them when they arrived at training (leaving the players speechless) - which has resulted in the players hosting impromptu training session with local kids etc.
It's a fantastic story - yet it's not been told by the mainstream media as it doesn't suit the far right agenda. How sad.
