From our limited exposure and from what I know about kids from other academies they are all pretty shit environments. At a Bournemouth game the other week I was speaking to a parent who said that this was basically most of the kids last year there. Most had been there since 7 or 8 but next season in U14 they get rid of most of the existing players and get "black kids in from London". His exact words. I guess that's the age when kids can travel further. He said his son was expecting it and it has already compounded the stress and next season he looks forward to standing on some park pitch where you have to pick up dog shit before playing.
