I can't recommend Trogir highly enough.
15 mins from Split airport. A 40 min taxi from Split old town
It's a beautiful, pretty quiet historic old town
Lovely to walk around. Loads of restaurants.
Loads of boat trips for days out.
Quietish beach about 15min walk further out of town
