A lot of it is simply due to not playing for Dyche in a Dyche system.

Dyche bypasses the midfield therefore Garner’s role was about staying in shape not getting his foot on the ball.

Dyche had Ndiaye playing in our half doubling up with Myko with the job of carrying the ball over the halfway line when we won it back. Now he’s playing around the opposition box.

Credit to Moyes of course, but any non-attritional non-dour manager would have given them the same platform. Moyes has done brilliantly with building Garner’s confidence though stuff like telling him he’s a senior player and needs to be a leader, and the bigging him up for England every chance he gets.

Ndiaye is just class and letting him of his leash a bit was all that was needed.
