I think it was as simple as loads just decided to stay in the boozers in town.

We jumped a Hackney from hardman st going to James st / Castle st at 5.30pm coz I wasn't watching their game in a boozer at the top end of town, rammed with their tellyclappers.

3 of us done it. 4 more season ticket holders with us swerved it.

I seen 2 other fellas in the pub that I left who were everton season ticket holders who were swerving it, they were with loads of other fellas who probably had a few more who couldn't be arsed going.

As I walked out my mate's brother turned up in a mixed group of reds and blues, all the blues were jibbing it.

We ended up jumping out the taxi halfway down Duke st as it had taken us 10 minutes just to get to there, and we walked the rest of it to castle st.

And then we had the walk to the ground from town to come closer to kick off, when we could have just stayed in a nice warm boozer.

Don't blame anyone for fucking that game off on Saturday.
