Even so his record over the last few years was at the very worst end of the table I think. No hatred towards him at all, but ultimately he wasn’t good enough post injury to be our number one striker. That’s the kind of position and wages he wanted so it was the right call to let him go.

It was not the right call to replace him with someone seemingly less effective.
