Surely it would be pointed out to those who are fuming/thinking it was stubbornness that with Tim and Gana suspended and Rohl injured, the only 2 central midfielders we have are KSH and Garner so picking them there is not just plausible but seemingly sensible?

If Keane is not back I think Patterson has to play right back. If Keane is back, I'd rather have him at CB and O'Brien at RB than a half-fit Patterson (or even a fully fit one tbf).

Not sure he has any other choice in central/defensive mid to be honest.
