This is where I'm at, grew up on benefits because dad was too sick to work after 30 years of flogging his guts out, mum stayed at home to look after him. All my mates had better clothes, holidays, toys than me and Wednesday nights (the night before pay day was often lets see what's left to cobble together a meal from).

Today I'm lucky enough to have my own business and be a higher rate tax payer, am able to do a lot of things with my life I could only dream of when I was younger. Worked out yesterday that this budget is gonna cost me about £1000 a year more in tax (even more when the charge on EV's comes into force) but if that's what it takes to try and make things a little fairer out there for everyone else then so be it.

I'm actually quite impressed with the budget overall, a bit more of taxing the rich to spend on lifting the horrendous two child limit instead of the shitty going after the elderly and disabled they've done in the past.....more of this please Reeves.
