I think the flaw in his logic is that for right wing stuff, strength of feeling on the issue doesn't translate to numbers at demos in the same way left wing stuff does.

Mainly because right wing immigration related demos tend to be run by bellends/ footy hooligan types, whereas left wing ones tend to have the presence of MPs/Union leaders etc.
